    RM3 Templates (repost)

I posted these back in the day, but I thought it might be nice to repost them. You just need to print them out, and fill them in (preferably in pencil). They can be handy for working out stat curves, bonus curves, and even price curves, to help make games with a well-integrated flow to them, because you can see everything together to work out their relationships better.

    Character Template*:

    Weapon Template:

    Armor Template:

    Accessory Template:

    Variables Template:

    * If you want some of these with your own character pictures in them let me know...I have a BUNCH of them stored on my computer. If I don't have them, I can get them for you when I reconnect the PS2 to the computer.

    Hope these help!

Damn, if only I wasn't making an adventure game now.
My kind of life’s no better off
If I’ve got the map or if I’m lost.

You could still use the variables template!

I was going to do this but I see you did a much better job then I could have!

I'm glad RM3 is getting so much attention now

How about a sheet that gives all the choices for everything(i.e. Added Effect, etc...)?

How do you connect the PS2 to a computer? Ive been wandering that for a while.

Thanks! I'm sure if you had tried, they would have wound up looking just as good if not better.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'a sheet that gives all the choices for everything'...things like skills and equips that can have an added attribute have a slot for them in the templates...am I misunderstanding you maybe?

Oh, and you need a video capture card, AKA a video input card. They are not very expensive these days...you can pick one up at just about any store that sells computer parts. It's just like a sound card, but for video (just make sure you don't get a video OUTPUT card unless you want to watch your computer on your TV.)

[EDIT] Perv knows a way to do this with a camcorder, but I'm not sure about it because I never needed to try it.

[EDIT 2] Hey JPS...do you know how to turn these into EXE's where all of the fields are text-input...able? Sorry, I'm a technical dope sometimes. If I could do that, people could input the text on their computers and just hit 'print'...

Bsically what I did in my class thread, but I just saw that Added Effect is the only thing you'd have to do, so I'm not worried about it.

I'll definately have to pick one up

I have a camcorder but it doesn't have any inputs, so I guess Im stuck on the video card thing

I use Visual Basic 6, I can make the program for you, just PM me and tell me exactly how you want everything and Ill make it(shouldnt take but 10 minutes for all 3), I don't know if theres any freeware out that can do that for you except qbasic, but thats only ran in DOS-mode, which, if you have XP, youre kind of out of luck, as XP doesn't have a DOS mode

PS:Just to let you know I can make it so the text in the program can be converted to a word document, so it's easier to print

Hey Faernon, check your messages! Sorry it took me so long. If anybody else wants custom character templates, let me know! My PS2 is still hooked up.

JPS: I completely forgot about this awesome project...I hope the screen caps I posted earlier today will help with this!
