    Straight Outta Lynwood

I thought Weird Al had gone into a slump where he would only release a new album every 3-5 years. He just released Poodle Hat in May/June 2005, and now this is coming out in September 2006.

One song, "You're Pitiful", is available for download on www.weirdal.com. Apparantly James Blunt gave Weird Al the ok, but James Blunt's label told Weird Al he couldn't do it. Due to some political/ethical stuff he decided not to put it on the album but put it up for download instead. Also, you can download another of his songs, "Don't Download This Song."

Anyone else here like his work? Poodle Hat snuck up on me, and so would have this if my friend didn't hear "You're Pitiful" on the radio.
    Keep the change.

I used to be a fan of his older stuff (Dare to be Stupid, Even Worse, Alapalooza). I haven't really had a chance to listen to a full album of his in a while. Now that most modern music makes me sick, I don't get the references to the songs he's spoofing.

haven't heard anything since Amish Paradise back in the sixth grade. I don't know, it just got old.

Most of his stuff is original, music lyrics and all.

Ironically I couldn't download that song. It just opens up in a new window using quicktime.

I said in the first post Poodle Hat came out in May 2005... it was May 2003.

              Where has the time gone?

Oh and Valk, if you like Don't Download That Song since it's original, you should check out Hardware Store on the Poodle Hat album. It's kinda neat.

The video was nice, but Don't Copy That Floppy > Don't Download this Song.
