    Neat little trick.

This isn't some great secret, but it's a nice shortcut. To have a character warp and change appearance, you need to make a duplicate, which can be confusing when you program. Instead, make the characters using different titles and (2)'s and (3)'s and all that. Then, make an auto event at game start using Party Control/Enter Character Name changing all the names to the ones needed in game. Thus, the characters will have the same name in game but different ones in the editor!

    Nifty!

I made mine a little more complex, but may have saved a pinch of memory.

Each time a version of an NPC was to change I had Version 1 rename version 2, etc...

Yours is easier to edit though!

    Nice.

    MOO!

I second Rodak's "nice." I'm not using multiple copies of the same characters very much in my game, but if I ever need to, now I know there is a cool and easy way to do it. Good post, bro.

I'm planning on doing something in one of my games that uses that. I'm going to have certain NPCs you can recruit onto your team and whenever you're not using them they stay in a safehouse. So there'd be the character in their original location and another in the house that's invisible until you recruit them. I was getting confused with which was which sometimes though so thanks a lot for this tip.
