Its my music. It isn't all of it, since I just recently got the site and am still adding content. Those are some of the most recent songs, anyway.

Toss over there and give them a quick listen if you already haven't, and give me some criticism. I'm very open to it.

And.. I just felt like posting this because the Imaginari forum is for ALL arts, whether they be visual or aural.

I'm listening to 'The Jones Effect', and someone named 'Funk' couldn't dislike it, because it's definitely flatdown funky fresh! It's pretty catchy, too!

You should listen to "Dueling Funkists". It's one of the first songs I made, but I'm particularily proud of the guitar work.

The tunes sound good.

But as an artist driven entirely by emotion I have a hard time seeing the purpose of making random music that sounds like background stuff for commercials, games and films.

I have others that I could upload for you to download but I'm currently working on getting all new recordings that will be a million times better than my old ones.

I shared Oblivion Vacation with my coworkers, and all except for one listened to it several times that night. The one... I just don't know about. He's got off the wall tastes, even stranger than some of mine.

That's really amazing because I was always disappointed with that song. I felt it was too fruity and I know my vocals weren't good. But I appreciate hearing that. Thanks, Rick.

Yep. I told you this before, and they said the same thing, that it just needed a little bit more variety in the lyrics and it would have been better.

Well if I'm driven by any emotion at all to make songs, it's just happiness. If I was sad I wouldn't write a song about how I was sad, but if I'm happy I could bust out a goofy little guitar riff and make a song. That's just me though, lots of other people take out their emotions through music, I'm just not that kinda guy.

And also the kind of music I make is the kind I personally enjoy more. I can't commiserate with sad or angry songs, they just make me sad or angry respectively. I like upbeat numbers.

These are pretty catchy! "Tropical Pants" and "Sad!" are my favorites. What'd you use to make these?

I mostly either record each seperate track with my microphone, or sample a part from an old jazz song or something, then I use Fruity Loops as a sequencer to mash it all together. I also occasionally use FL as a synthesizer, but mostly I dont.

Cool, I'll have to check into these "Fruity Loops," I see that's what Bran uses, too (Nodding Down the Street is awesome, by the way, Bran). I've been wanting to get into something like this for a while, but I've never really had the time. And even if I did, I never knew where to start.
