    Game Concept: Pavilionquest! (working title)

While I work on my sprite skills, I'm going to hold off toolkit and mess around with Qbasic. As long as I'm making a text based game, I figured, I may as well make a game that SHOULD be text. So, without furthur ado, I present:

    Pavilionquest!
    Language: Qbasic
    Format: Text

Plot: You join the pavilion a terrible spelling, chatspeaking n00b seeking RPGM advice. As you continue rasing your post count, you become wisier, and you must impress the other Pavilionites until you reach the coveted status of Admin.

Characters: You. You choose your username (horray for input commands!). Also, I will obvious feature other Pavilionites; I'll make a thread explaining more shortly.

    Features!
*Emocon system*: Well, although I could make it so you can write out every post, making the game understand it would be a mess. So, you use emocons. You start out with the basics: happy, sad, angry, confused, and lol, and earn new ones as you play. I might still incorporate a way where you can write posts for fun, but would anyone use it?
*Save?*:If I can master File Save, then you can not have to resort to passwords (yay!) and the post's you write could be swapped with other members.
*Rep system*: When you start the game, you have 10 rep points. You earn points by replying with proper emocons, and lose em for dunb posts/replies. Lose them all, and you get banned. You can also get ban warnings in other places in the story.

So, tell me what you think.

Nah, just Qbasic for me. May as well use something taking advantage of text-based.
Also, I'm begining to master file save. I've made a succesful save/load, I just have to make sure it'll work with these variables.

That is a strange concept and kind of pointless to put effort into making this because I'm kind of playing this "game" right now, but instead of me talking to AI I'm talking to real people. What you might want to consider is making a graphical RPG with pavilion members in it (maybe with an RPG Maker?). That would be pretty interesting.

              Well, my sprite skills suck.
BUT I could make a game where the goal is to create the "perfect RPG". You couldn't actually use the maker, but you could surf the pav, make a game, use different makers, etc. Anyone who's played the "Newgrounds Sim" know what I mean.
Actually, I may try this. In other news, I'm doing better with file save. I can get numeric variables done, but not literate ones.
