Welcome to the new Pavilion Posting Grounds!
This topic is going to go over EVERYTHING you need to know about the new forum.
1. There are two styles you can select, from either the top of the forum, or bottom of the forum, depending on which style you are currently using. Basic is the default.
2. Avatars. Avatars now have unbreakable maximum size restrictions. 100x100 for registered users, 150x150 for moderators and administrators.
3. Signatures. you are limited to just one picture per sig. If your sig is too large, an admin or mod will ask you to shrink it. if you don't, you may find that you are no longer able to have one.
4. User Titles. You can define them yourself.
5. You may notice a few different icons under each user's name. you can do a quick mouse-over to see what each means. One of the key ones is Reputation. if someone is being um, an asshole, feel free to give them negative reputation points. if someone is being extremely helpful, or nice, feel free to give them positive reputation points. each user can give 1 point per day. make it count. it is annonymous. the icon under the post count indicates a user's current reputation level. you can do a mouse-over to get a text description. there is also a "bad post" icon that you can click to notify the staff of a.... BAD POST!!!!
6. Forums. Most forums are kept the same. So we'll only go over the new ones, and the changes. Under Site Info and Suggestions, there is a new forum called "Tech Support". if you need help with anything technical on the forum, post in here. we can even change your username if you wish, so you dont have to create a new account any time you want your name changed. do not hesitate to ask seemingly stupid questions in tech support. thats what its there for.
There is a new addition called "game forums". click this to be taken to a sub-listing of dedicated forums for user created games. This no longer applies only to RPG Maker, many people here make games with other tools, and as long as you're creating something legal, with something legal, you can likely have your own dedicated forum for it.
Forums will no longer be archived. Special topics that we want to keep will be moved to a soon-to-be-created forum just for them.
