I added some stuff to Port Town 1

It's all just ripped from other default tilesets, but still. I'm using this tileset to make a port town with a bazaar and I needed some more crap. The basic tilesets by themselves are pretty bare but I was able to find some stuff that adds a bunch of little touches.

The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

      Pretty cool!

Also remember that you also can also add events with any object sprite to any map, regardless of what tileset it has.

object sprite? Do you mean you can use a plains tile in a forrest map, or are you just talking about the support character sets.?

Dude, since everything in there comes from a default tileset go ahead.

Oops, I meant you can also import anything that that's in a tileset into your Graphics/Characters sets and place them in the event layer of the map. It's useful if there's random objects like barrels, lanterns, posts, fences, etc. that you want to add to any map (but only to the very-top event layer map) without having to create a new tileset for each.

So for instance, the batch of new objects you added to the Port Town 1 tileset could also be put into your Graphics/Characters set, and all of the "little touches" could be placed as events into the event layer of any other map you create regardless of its tileset. Kind of like in RPGM1 except you can do it all on one screen.

You would have to create a new tileset with both plains and forest stuff to use them as tiles on Layers 1-3 on the same map. Placing dozens of grass tiles as events on the topmost event layer is not very useful or practical.

personally, I just exported every outside tileset onto my desktop, then stacked them up, saved it, then imported it. then I did the same with the indoors tilesets.

it was a pain in the ass setting the walkable/unwalkable tiles, setting the directional pass stuff, and the priorities, but now I only ever have to use two tilesets.

that sounds great Valk, although, if i imported the map, i'd have to set all of the walkable/unwalkable, etc, myself, right?

Any possibility of you making those tilesets available?

if you want them, then yeah, I'd be happy to post them. I'll try and do it tomorrow. and yeah, you'd have to set all the data for the tilesets, including the auto-tiles which isn't fun at all.

well, all you would have to do is cycle between the big tileset and the ones it's based off, and copy what each setting is on those. it's easy, but it takes a while.

thats a good idea, and probably easier than trying to figure it all out myself, hehe

I was actually wondering if Valk would post that up since I saw him mention it before, I was about ready to do that myself.
