    Agetec says hello

Our good friend Mark Johnson from Agetec has come back to the pavilion with some messages for us. First off, RPG Maker 2 is confirmed for a PSN release, and coming soon. He is also looking into the keyboard issues with the PSN release of RPG Maker 3.

Now for the more interesting bit. Well, to me, anyways. While there is no console RPG Maker currently in development, Mark wants to know what we would want from one, if one is made. It doesn't mean one will be made from our ideas, but it certainly can't hurt to give our input.

    Do handheld consoles count?

Some good news. Gives me hope and in the end that is all we really ask for right? Got to keep the community alive somehow.

Do we post our ideas in this thread?

Different battle systems would be cool, like the default, side-view or an active Zelda style one. If you don't know how to code, you're ****ed.

Graphics for different era's. Fantasy, Modern and Sci-Fi. If you don't know how to art, you're ****ed.

I know it's asking for the very unlikely, but I've always wanted to make a first person Dungeon Crawler. That would be super sweet. Or Diablo style Roguelike. I know this won't ever happen, but one can dream.

And I'd choose better functionality over graphics any day. Smooth game play matters more than how pretty things look. RM3 was a big turn off in terms of lag and super limitations.

I'll edit this post as I think of more impossible thing's I'd like.

Thanks for looking into the lack of keyboard support in RPGM3, that's been a killer for me personally. If you and Sony can resolve it, I'll be jumping ship and just using on my PS3 instead of my PS2 for sure.
