    RPGM Resource Guide

Well, my RPGM3ID program kinda blew up into an all out resource guide that will encompass all RPG Makers.

    http://mav.steam-united.com/RPGMResourceGuide/

It will ask for permission to install any updates if theres a new version detected at launch...also be aware that right now it will install in a predetermined place, theres only 2 ways to deploy apps in vb.net...the one I use is ClickOnce, the other is Windows Installer...ClickOnce allows for web deployment and automatic updating, but doesnt allow a custom install directory, Windows Installer allows a custom directory but does not include a way to web-deploy or automatic updating(Meaning everytime theres a new version you have to manually download/install the new version).

Sorry for the double post, but it seems no one has replied yet to this lol

Just finished 616 screenshots...the Male, Female, and Animal character profiles...I managed to throw a program together that would mass-extract just the profile pictures within a screenshot...making it a LOT easier(300 pictures cropped in under 20 seconds.....Sorry Obright for all the hassle on the monster stuff, I had no idea it was THAT time consuming!)

    so this:

    turned into this:

Next is figuring out a user-friendly way of implementing all of them...any suggestions anyone?

Oh, and I also managed to get a artificial battle simulator working that actually uses timers based on a players AGI...I also have a neat little "Interactive Battle" simulator where you can watch your Wait Bar fill up and attack/heal yourself as you would a basic battle to get a feel how the damage works.

anyone know exactly how much damage +/- an attack does? Im sure its not a set amount of damage every single hit

I've actually been thinking about this with my character sheet maker idea. I was thinking about having a folder for each character type (young man 01, old woman 3, etc), and having an image for each art style, so that...if you input "Dwarf - Anime 2", it would go to the dwarf folder, and select the third image (or whatever). Do you think something like that might work?

Also, what you have so far looks great!

Thats what Im looking at doing, and combining Old Man 1, 2, and 3...and categories like ShopKeeper Ill only use the first row. Thoughts?

Id like to get as many images up at one time so I can compare them all at once instead of looking back and forth...lol

Also, I hope Valk hurries up and sees this and say yes or no so I can do whatevers necessary to get the ball rolling with people downloading it lol

It's not even been a day?

If there's something I'm working on, and want Valk to notice, I'll usually send him a PM with a link, JPS. That usually does the trick.

I made these for the "after" screens, since you won't need the starting HP fields any more. I also took out all the other extra fields that were not being used:

I'm also thinking about taking out all of the arrows pointing up, designating a bonus at levelup, on the after screens...what do you think? I think it makes more sense, as these represent final values for the level selection, not bonuses at levelup.

Thanks I would have sent you a message sooner(Like Perversion had suggested) but I had already sent one earlier that day, didnt want to bug you too much...lol

Link has been added to the first post...Obright tested it out and brought it to my attention that the setup file installs in a set directory...you cant choose where to install it...Im going to see if I can fix that on the next update, which will be tomorrow night or sunday night.

EDIT: Just found out that theres only 2 ways to deploy apps in vb.net...the one I use is ClickOnce, the other is Windows Installer...ClickOnce allows for web deployment and automatic updating, but doesnt allow a custom install directory, Windows Installer allows a custom directory but does not include a way to web-deploy or automatic updating(Meaning everytime theres a new version you have to manually download/install the new version).

Ill do whatever the majority wants, it can only be one or the other though unfortunately.

                      Re: RPGM Resource Guide

Iīve just downloaded and briefly tested this new app., and it seems to do a great job to create/compare stats for chars and enemies. The options to simulate each battle turn are great too but Iīve a problem thatīs probably very easy to solve, but I donīt know how: How can I select how big is the app. screen? It fits almost the full screen, but I canīt see the right most part. Is there something I can do about it?
Iīll be eager to see what else can this app. do in the future.
                      Thanx.

                          Double Post: Sorry

What resolution do you have your monitor? The Stat screen is 1400 x 820...I wasnt aware people still used smaller resolutions...lol

Once you tell me what resolution youre using I can make adjustments.

Ok then. The resolution Iīm using is 1280 x 1024.
A few questions about that app: Could it be posible that the app could simulate 4 vs 4 battles? Are you going to include any other posibilities like adding slow-fast atack/defense up/down, skills, magic, etc.?
The app as it is right now does a great job creating enemies and balancing them, but daydreaming is free, isnīt it?

I will add all of that in due time when I learn more of how the finer details of the battle system actually works

Right now Im working on a new update...pretty major one...heres some of what the next update will include:

1--All 15 Field Samples, screenshots of Page 1 and Page 2 of each one as well as a screenshot of the player in the field(45 Pictures Total)
2--All 40 Town Samples, screenshots of Page 1 and Page 2 of each one as well as a screenshot of the player in the town(120 Pictures Total)
                              3--All 26 System Sound Effects(Click to Play)
4--All 49 Play Mode Sound Effects(Click to Play)
                              5--All 21 Melody Sounds(Click to Play)
6--All 48 BGM Clips(Music has 60 second samples and Sounds has 15 second samples...click to play)
7--All 187 of images from the Storyteller BG options

Pretty much all done except for actually coding it...and the Town Samples and Storyteller BG still has to be done, as far as all the sound files...theyre done.

Altogether this update will have 352 new pictures and 144 sound clips, all integrated into the app so you dont have billions of files everywhere

Should be released sometime next week

Ive also been throwing around the idea of a online RPGM3 Sound Board
