I am a noob to this site

I'm generally new to this site, and have become a member about a week ago. I generally get the rules, and understand and follow most of them, although a few I broke on accident such as double-posting and talking about piracy, but someone told me that it was wrong and I learned the hard way.

I understand the whole concept of this site. Correct me if i'm wrong, but you use a USB flash drive to export files of RPGM 1/2 on your memory card, and turn them into a file on your computer which you can put on this site and other people can download and import them into their memory cards, which is a awesome idea because I always make an rpg that I have only one friend to play it. And then the other part of this website is to talk about the made games, and just about anything else. Please, again correct me if I am wrong.

The last thing I want to know is the reputation system. How does it work?Because I get either a green or red square with a thread name and a comment. On one that I got a red square from, it showed I comment I posted in the thread itself. And I posted an absolute innocent short message and I got a bad rep point for it. How does this system work, and how do I give someone a good or bad rep? Can this system be abused?

I wouldn't worry about the rep system too much as no one really pays attention to it. It's supposed to be for if someone really liked your post or found it helpful they will give you positive rep by clicking on the scales icon below the persons avatar, and if they thought your post was uncalled for or stupid they give you negative rep by clicking on the red warning sign next to the scales.

Its really there as a way to make comments to a person about their post anonymously, so of course it is abused some. But since no one really pays attention it's more for fun, and isn't really abused because no one really cares about it.

So don't let it determine how you think you're doing on the site, you know whether your being a troll, etc or not. It's just kind of a fun extra.

Alright thanks, I understand the rep system.

But would someone tell me if i'm right or anywhere right about the whole USB Flash Drive concept. I read how it worked in a forum that Valk put up, but I want to know if my interpretation is right because I plan on making a few rpgs on RPGM1 and RPGM3.

As for uploading and downloading games, you need a Max Drive USB Flash drive (mostly for the software that lets you convert PS2 files to something that can be saved and downloaded onto a PC). This will only work for PS2 games files (and thus with RPG Maker 2 and 3) but not with PS1 saves (nor RPG Maker 1 games). You need a DexDrive (only available on E-bay because they are very hard to find anywhere else) to use PS1 game files.
