Konami's press conference has tainted that game.

light chest-slapping and upside down championship belts.

if the game was based on what that press conference showed, I'd buy the **** out of this.

Dragon Quest 9 for me; I recently started playing DQ4 at Loki's suggestion and it's great times, so I'm keen on trying the new one.

But the main event for me this summer is Monster Rancher DS, which is now (hopefully) set for an early August release.

Honestly, I'm good for a while. I still have Mario Galaxy 2 to fall back on once I finish Sin & Punishment 2, and I still gotta finish my replays of Earthbound and Secret of Mana with my roommate.

And then I still have Final Fantasy V Advance and Peace Walker for when I'm on the go!

For me, the next two would be Etrian Odyssey III and Child of Eden. There's really nothing on the radar that excites me as much as those two.

I'm holding out hope for Enslaved: Journey to the West, actually. Ever since they previewed it last year in Game Informer, I've been interested. This from someone who does not even READ those preview cover stories. Seriously, the only two I think I've read in the past year of my subscription are Enslaved and L.A. Noire.

Dead Space 2 looks really good too, but really, only EOIII and Child of Eden are the ones in the near future that get me giddy just thinking about them.

Nothing soon, I got all 120 stars on Mario Galaxy 2, and don't really care to go any further in it.

I'd rather catch up on some games I missed out on during the cluster **** of the past few months.

I'll probably get DQIX though, despite me still being bummed about it being on a handheld.

                          FO: New Vegas
                          Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (maybe)
                          NHL 11

                          I guess that's all.

What will undoubtedly be the nearly unanimous game of the year, Star Craft II.

Also, I will probably return to WoW for a month or two when the expansion comes out.

Don't know of anything else this year I really want, aside from New Vegas. Unless that Red Faction game is set to come out in 2010; I haven't read or heard much about it, but if it's in the vein of Guerilla, that's a big yes. Might be my multiplayer favorite of the gen, at least until the community pretty much dried up. Single player wasn't too shabby either.
