Draw something, stupid - AKA Garbage art contest 2010
It's time to draw video game related art! We all love that, right?
RIGHT???
THE GIST OF IT:
Pay tribute to a game that you love or hate (or both) through visual art. It can be in any visual art type medium. The only requirement is: your art must be video game related. It can be serious or silly. The rest is up to you.
Use your imagination and come up with something that's really fresh. Take your time. You have a LOT of time.
Your art should be something NEW that no one has ever seen before. No reposts, no old stuff. I'm challenging you to be creative and to work on something NEW.
DO NOT POST YOUR ENTRY HERE. Send them to me via PM. If you post it here, you are failbutt and won't win anything. So don't do that. You can talk about it if you want, but try not to go into detail.

INFO:
This contest will be decided by four people: two pavilion jerks (myself included) and two other people that don't post here or know any of you.
JUDGING will be based on two things:
1. Creativity: is your idea interesting and/or fun?
2. Execution: is your piece successful in conveying its message/tribute/image/etc?
Just because a piece is drawn well doesn't mean it'll win, especially if it's boring. Amusing work may have an edge. People like that ****. But if you want to be serious, go for it.
The deadline for entries will be September 15th, so you have plenty of time. You can still enter art after that time, but you won't be able to compete. People may also contribute while abstaining from the contest/prize part.
Prizes will be offered for those who place in the top three. The winner will pick what they want, followed by the second and third place winners, etc. So in order to get the goofy thing of your choice, you should aim for first place.
Fear not, people who lack confidence in their skills! One entry will be choosen at random to pick a 4th prize from whatever the others didn't choose.
You must be a member of the rpg maker pavilion for over 6 months in order to win a prize.
JUNK YOU CAN WIN:
Here are the video game related items. Note the crossover with anime items (it's more fun that way).
Main stuff:
- Zidane and Garnet UFO catcher plush from FFIX
- SD Kefka keychain from Final Fantasy VI, Bandai, 1994 & a prismastic chrono trigger promo card from the 1995 SNES JP pre-order
- Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 for the Nintendo DS (the DS is region-free, btw, and this game isn't difficult to figure out)
- Katamari cell phone strap and "King of all Cosmos" metal keychain promo (for the JP beautiful katamari pre-order) + Prince PSP case (it can be used for whatever)
-Iggy Koopa cel from Captain N/Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3
- PAL copy of The Gregory Horror Show for PS2 (NOTE: you must have a PS2 that can read PAL/import games in order to play this)
- JP import of VIB RIBBON for the playstation. Again, you need a playstation or PS2 that can play imports! However, the soundtrack works in any CD player.
More stuff for animation fans:
- Animation cel from the Ganbare Goemon (Legend of the Mystical Ninja) anime
- A random cel or sketch from the original Dr. Slump show
- Darkstalkers pencil sketch set (from the OVA) of Pyron vs Huitzil
- cel from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (original OVA)
- Street Fighter Alpha/Zero movie animation art of Chun-Li (genga/rough pencil sketch set of three)
Other junk:
- JP Mario w/cape crane toy (UFO catcher) from the Super Mario World Set (Banpresto, 1991)
-small SD Bowser gashapon figure from Bandai (1993)
- 3 different Gregory Horror Show boxed mini figures (they are TINY, like the game figures) from Yujin
- Legend of Zelda tribute DVD promo
- Ghost in the Shell translucent movie gashapon of the Major (1995)
- A random Simpsons figure
- A random Star Wars figure
- Not video game related: HACK MAN plush UFO catcher (it's puking up strawberries)
