Worked on this for a good portion of tonight. There are only going to be three towns, with realistically only 1 NPC in each (tons and tons of dialogue, though), and I've completed the first town before calling it quits for the night.
So I'm fairly confident that this will be finished by the deadline. The submission itself is going to be unorthodox, however. And as I was working on this, a lot of this unfinished contest idea crept into this one.
Den and Dagger are about a third of the way to Chick-fil-A!!
I have today and tomorrow off from work, so I hope to finish up the majority tonight. This game is not scripting-intensive in the slightest bit. It's more about writing the dialogue, so unless I've totally lost my inspiration in the past few days, this should be done on time.
However, presentation is gonna be a bit different, so that'll take some additional time. All in all, though, I have a good feeling.
I just about polished off the rest of the game. I'm taking a break here, and probably a nap. Den is now in Kansas (or, at least, he will be in the part of the game I'm currently working on). I just need to add some dialogue for John Mora, make the ending, and the game itself will pretty much be finished.
Then comes phase two.
I am going to again reiterate what I said above...I have no idea what this is even supposed to be. I actually confused myself a few times while in the process of making this tonight. Willfully making a game as a deconstruction of a game tends to screw with your head a bit.
