Game by Sage of Creation - Rated T for Teen
My second official LP. I had played a small bit of the game a while back, and liked what I saw, so I decided to come back to it for my LP, expecting a good game. Well... it wasn't.
The main story involves a boy named Clavenign as he embarks on a quest to find a cure for his mother, who has fallen under the effects of Walking Insomniitis. The story is, in essense, a comedy. And while the game did a good job at making me chuckle, everything else fell flat. The quest didn't know how to keep on track, and even abandoned a couple plot elements along the way (hint: there is no animal village). The level design, while fantastic at the start (especially in episodes 2 and 3), got worse along the way, with less and less interactable objects and emptier dungeons. The random encounters annoyed me to death. And the ending is a complete cop-out. So it ultimately went downhill after you left the first town.
On the plus side, LPs of crappy games can be entertaining to watch. And I started putting a little more effort into my LPs during this one. Even introduced my first non sequitur in Episode 8.
