Leon SD Theater REBUILD - #6 (NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN)

    SD LEON Theater

Wowee. Been a while since I did anything like this. A comic. And man, does it show. Really messy. And Photoshop and I are the best of strangers. Regardless, this took me pretty much all night and I think it's decent.

I laugh because her jacket says Pa*****o.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

How did the zombie appear in the bar without her knowing..? Or did she just enter the bar because she needed *blank*..?

Obviously she entered the bar after the zombie! Of course, if any hideous creatures could stealthily sneak into a building and commence to looking long preoccupied with eating a corpse, it would be zombies.

For those who didn't know, "boku" translates to "I"! I am Leon S. Kennedy!

I like it! But I think it would prove much more presentable if you redrew it, now knowing how you want everything arranged. Various visible eraser lines abound; and look at the way the karaoke machine hits the ground in the last panel--what kind of a bar has rounded, horizon-creating floors? Probably the best darned bar ever, but it makes the drawing look all wonky and inconsistent with the use of perspective in the awesome film-like action panels.

yeah, but Boku is the female "I".

                Nah--it's other way around.

"Watashi" is gender-neutral in formal situations and is female-specific in informal situations. "Boku" is exclusively male-specific.

Nahhhh, I thought Boku was the male "I" and Atashi was the female "I". And Watashi was both.

Anyway, I love all the thigns in the background, like the posters and the bricks. I think the zombie looks awful in the last panel, though.

The "Oh MY GOd" scene is the frikkin' best.

                      I really like it.

                      Do more things like this!

I couldn't remember what it really said in RE2. Either "Heaven on Earth" or "Made in Heaven" or something like that. I know her CODE: Veronica one is "Let Me Live" but that wouldn't have been right. So, "Pa*****o" it is.

Nah I don't. Very rudimentary stuff. But I do try, what I do is, if I see a cool pose I like in a magazine or comic or something I'll try to draw it myself. I can't really refer to any influence I had on THIS because there wasn't anything specific.

Whoa! No way! I am moving on. What I could do is ink it (ugh...tedious) and erase all the pencil. But...pencil always looks better. =( I thought Photoshop had un-boring ways of fixing stuff on the fly!?

I knew exactly how I wanted everything, it was just a matter of whether or not I could do it adequately. I just sat down and drew. I think it's obvious things got better as it progressed. Sort of.

The last panel, being the last panel, was rushed. I, too, like to think the best darned bar ever would have a horizon floor with a karaoke machine. The *jukebox* was one of the last additions (Shaun of the Dead immediately came to mind), so yeah, weird-looking. I mean, hey, I didn't have a ruler. Still, I like how it came out. And thank you! "Film-like" is what I was trying to do.

Yeah, that is a pretty awful zombie. I like his expression though. I'm also proud of those bricks. That's probably the best (first) alley I drew. I wasn't quite sure where to stop with the background detail, with phrases like "less is more" and "keep it simple" rushing through my head, and I didn't want it to look too busy.

This has made all my dreams come true. I see that you found an adequate solution to Claire's jacket. Personally, I think you should change the saying each time you have her around. I hope Barry gets to be in the next one. And Rebecca. And their Licker steeds.
