This is the same one you can export to the Xbox 360 if you have an XNA account. After peer review, you can upload to XBLA, and realistically make a profit on it.


We all know most of the community-developed games on the Xbox 360 are garbage. I'm challenging any Pavvie to develop a game using this and submit for inclusion in XBLA, so there will be at least one (hopefully) decent game in the community creators' section.


Now I just need to buy a PC myself.

Enterbrain's release of this software so far is a disaster. their own website for it doesnt even let you know that it's out. I didnt even know it was out! it was put up in july? they make no mention of it, anywhere. I knew about the site. I didnt know it was out until I decided to check download.com. and THAT wasnt easy. it doesnt come up for indie game maker. no. its IG Maker.

2000 downloads. most people dont know it's out, so I'm not alone. stellar marketing, enterbrain.

Standard Player (Windows + DirectX)
This is the standard output format that will operate on Windows. A dedicated player software is available for download, so people who do not have a copy of Action Game Maker can play the created games.

and their website says you need to download player software to play games made with it, if you dont own the maker itself. where the hell is that? again, their website is no help.

We'll support this thing if the player software can be found.

Instead of bumping the Main Forum version of this thread, I decided to bump it here instead with the news that this thing is $60 now. Not sure when exactly it dropped in price, but it's $20 less than it was when I made this topic.

I've actually yet to purchase this, but some ideas have been popping into my head over the past few days that would not really work all that well with either the console or the Pee Cee Arr Pee Gee Makers. So I might end up dropping $60 on this before the year is out.

I'd love to be able to work with IG Maker but there are so few resources for it out there, and it sounds difficult. I'll probably give the trial a run at some point.
