This is the ultimate pavilion "contest".
The RPG Maker Pavilion is missing content, we all know this. much has been lost over time, some was never done due to people just not having enough time on their hands. This project will fix all of that.
You will fix all of that.
Here's the content we need:
RPG Maker 1 game descriptions, and game creators that are missing from our listings. good descriptions that tell people what the game is actually about. roughly the size of the descriptions already on the site.
RPG Maker 1, 2, and 3 screenshots for the games lacking them. if the game has a title screen, we need a screenshot of that, and two more. screenshots should be this size, but better quality. Rodak and The True Coolness submitted screenshots of many games that are not on the site, but honestly, I'd like better quality, which is why they were never put up. screenshots should do a good job of showing off the game, and not all be from the first 5 minutes of play.
Reviews of any games lacking them. play the game all the way through before reviewing it (unless doing so isnt possible due to bugs or the low quality of the game). make it at least two paragraphs long. use any scoring system you like, as long as it makes sense. Want to use owls instead of points or stars? go for it.
Anything you do, zip up and post in the "Ultimate Librarian Challenge" submission forum that will be opening tonight. label it so we know what it is. there will be a submission forum for each RPG Maker. reviews and game information does not have to be zipped up. just post as usual. in the correct submission forum in the ultimate librarian challenge forum. not the free forum. don't PM it to Jamos either. unless you want him to enter it. because he will.
Now, because I imagine a LOT of people will be contributing to this, there will be some people working on the same game's content at the same time. that's okay. even if someone else gets a review of a game submitted that you were already reviewing, go ahead and post it anyways. you'll both get credit. same goes for screenshots. it'll just make our screenshot galleries larger. as for game information, I'll just end up picking the entry that I like the best, but all efforts will still get credit.
reviews and screenshots of course have to be your own work. same with game descriptions. I will be checking the mag. do not steal content. I will disown you.
Now, this is a lot of work. How the hell is this going to be worth your time and effort?
When ALL the missing content on the site is filled up, the project will be ended, and the person who contrinuted the most will get ANY GAME CONSOLE OF THEIR CHOICE. yes. DS Lite, DSi, PSP, PS3, 360, Wii, and hell, if that new download-only PSP is out by the time this wraps, then that too.
What about everyone else who contributed a lot of stuff? They get stuff too. any game of their choice. and if the next person from the top also contributed a hell of a lot of content, we'll throw another mystery thing at them as thanks.
Now, there is no end date for this, but if content submissions stop before all the missing content is submitted, then no one gets the big prize. and if everyone only turns in a handful of stuff, then no one gets anything.
the secondary "game of choice" prize level will be decided based on how much content everyone submits. if you only submit a handful of things, then I'm sorry, you will not get anything other than gratitude. not everyone will be leaving this project with free games. we have to make a cutoff point somewhere, and we cant figure out what that point should be until we know how much everyone submitted.
You can live anywhere on earth and be elligible for these fabulous prizes. Most people on the site can take part in this, even if you're limited to just a dusty copy of RPG Maker 1 and a playstation emulator, you can get some free stuff. and everyone could use some free stuff.
Oh, of course, anything you submit has to be for games here. don't submit content for games that we dont have.
To maximize submissions, this week I will be uploading the end results of the pav/mag collaborative effort that saw damn near every RPGM1, 2, and 3 game converted to the PS3 format. Ixzion said I could. I didnt do it before because as the mag people did most of the work, I thought they should have a nice, long period of exclusivityness.
I considered getting a capture card and doing the screenshots and stuff myself, but it's much better if we pull as many people back into active status as possible. So no, this isnt a cop-out on my part.
Alright people, it's gackt time.

STOP STARING AT HIM AND GET TO WORK.
