    Wal-Mart

Should I stop hating Wal-Mart? I mean, I talk about their unethical practices and them being responsible for net losses in jobs in communities, but, no one seems to care, not even my own boyfriend. I even know lots of people getting jobs there w/out a second thought...but they need a job. I've always held the belief that if I can't change something, I shouldn't worry about it too much...should I drop this issue? What do you think?

    Re: Wal-Mart

Once all the small businesses are driven out of your area by the Walmart, their prices will jump right back up and they'll end up laying off employees. It happens every time. It is happening to Belleville, IL, it happened to Freeburg, IL, and it's happening to many small towns. The Walmart in the area keeps prices just below what the other local businesses are charging so as to become attractive to those people who have no money, the Walmart pays slightly better wages than those small businesses can afford, and the Walmart operates at a loss. Until the small businesses are no more. Prices shoot up, wages go down, and people get layed off.

It can be stopped. Citizens in Inglewood California even voted against having a Walmart operate in their town, and Walmart tried to use a ballot initiative process to bypass the city's laws and the votes of the city's residents. Good thing the Walmart failed. Walmart threatened to sue the city(and thus its taxpayers) over this matter for 'discrimination'.

If you do anything to a Walmart, vandalize the hell out of it. Or make fun of some of the inbreds that walk in there. But don't give them your money if you don't appreciate their practices.

Wal-Mart is evil but like most evil they have lulled the masses into acceptance with vodoo and low prices. Fighting them is futile. You must simply accept their unholy dominion. All hail Wal-Mart.

I get my PSP games at WalMart. They sell them for $46.28 or some stupid price instead of $49.99 at every other store.

However, I only do this with the PSP since it's the only system I have with a small enough game library that they can carry every single game. For systems like PS2, the selection is so godawful that I just go to my local "small-town" type gaming store.

And Redneck's "Posts without mentioning PSP" counter has reset once again...

Isn't Walmart facing the largest recorded class action sexual discrimination suit?
And Valk, I'd kill to hear that song.
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.
I had no idea how beautiful you were.

I have faint recollections of the song "We Are Rockman!"

Well, that's ok. I live on the east coast anyway.

I'm pretty much neither here nor there regarding Wal-Mart. I usually prefer going to miscellaneous places.

Unfortunately, all that Terr said is true. I once worked at Wally World, as did my brother, as well as my mother. My mother still works there, going on 9 years, and she barely makes $9.00 an hour. That's $3.00 worth of raises in 9 years. **** you, Wal-Mart.

I don't even shop there anymore, I go to my local games store if I want to buy a game, and I support my local businesses in general. So suck on that, Wal-Mart.
