I loved Boy and His Blob. I actually managed to beat the NES game.

I never really cared for the NES version... even though I have a copy lying around somewhere. I'm not sure why they decided to resurrect this game...

The NES game was SO HARD. I have no idea how anyone could beat it. I didn't even have a clue as to what to do 90% of the time.

I could only get into these sewer areas and then I had no clue what I was supposed to do or Id run out of beans to feed the blob.

Then there was this one bean that turned the blob into a rocket and he took you to some place with cherries floating up and down all over the place, and if you touched them you died.

The game was so retarted.

That world was the world where the blob is from.

But you had to get some things first before venturing off to the blob world.

It took me a couple tries before I figured out how to get through the sewers.

I beat the NES game several times, but with Game Genie. >_>

OMG. I can't believe they're choosing this title out of all others, but at the same time, I might want to play it to see if you can still make the Blob sad by wasting jellybeans or turning him into stuff and then abandoning him somewhere where he can't reach you.

But it was a creative idea that captured the hearts and minds of children of all ages. I still love the idea that jellybeans turns the blob into different things.

Never could get anywhere in the game, though.

Those new designs look terrible.

You're right, it was a creative idea. I loved feeding him all the different jellybeans and seeing what he'd turn into next.

I also loved making the blob into a trampoline, having the kid jump about six screens into the air, and then fall off and die.

Way back in the day, my dad would let us rent one NES game over the weekend (his visitation time). We rented this and then never bothered with it again. We threw all the beans away in hopes that the blob would waste away and die.

Honestly, unless you programmed the game, or have endless time/patience, there is no way to beat it. Deadly Towers is easier and more fun than A boy and his blob.

This game will probably tank just as hard as the original.
