    I deactivated my Facebook.

    http://www.5min.com/Video/Facebook-W...On-You-6650212

The truth of this video is debatable, but it was enough to make me want to take my Facebook account down. Besides, I don't use it, like ever. If people really want to contact me, there's several other ways to go about it.

And I post enough details about my life on these boards anyway.
    ...and that's why.

I only have a damn facebook because of a girl who I met in Dubai wanted me to get one to stay in contact with her.

So either have all my private information public to corporations, or cut off getting my Denethor on.

      ****.

Not really, just sick of Facebook. I suppose anti-conformist would be more appropriate a term.

i made a facebook account using bogus info so i could check something out. i havent touched it since. i have no plans to make my information available to anyone, nor do i like the whole facebook thing. i am quite content to be without it.

i really dont see what all the fuss is, maybe im just too far out of the loop?

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!

My facebook consists of a picture of a piece of toast with butter on it.

                That's about it.

I don't know, being fat in America seems pretty conformist to me.

                  (no offense to anyone btw)

A lot of that stuff is speculative. Okay, so, they sell other companies the fact that I watch Dexter on a regular basis. And? Is that fact going to make them harass my family? Cancel my credit cards? No. I don't even get more junk e-mail than normal. So what, I don't care if they know that I'm a redhead, I'm not going to be sent a flyer for the new Garnier Hair Dye or some crap. I. Don't. Care.

I am coming for all of you!

That's because by modern standards, EVERYBODY in America is fat that doesn't look like an emaciated Leonardo DiCaprio.

to add, a lot of the stuff in that vid seems a bit conspiracy oriented and more sensationalist then it really is. facebook has to pay for the bandwidth somehow, so if they are doing that by selling to market research then go for it. its nothing different then what other companies are doing.

                          Have you seen The Departed?

I also forgot to mention that I have Shinji Mikami on my Facebook. {:3

                              No.

Most people in America are fat because they eat too many meals out, fail to exercise, and include large amounts of processed foods high in fat and high fructose corn syrup in their diets.

                              Is it their fault? Partly.
