I just got back from seeing Step Up 2: The Streets. I guess I'll list the positives first. The dancing/choreography was absolutely amazing, and
*** SPOILERS ***
Do not underestimate that nerdy kid, Moose. His dancing surprised me.
*** END SPOILERS ***
The acting...well, the central chick in the flick has a very forgettable voice, and she really didn't fit in emotionally in the movie. There were a few other characters with the same problem, but I tolerated it. The dancing throughout this flick really saves the movie, though. It was better than Bee Movie, in my opinion.
Now, here's some interesting ish...
I leave the movie, and a swarm of officers start heading outside for either two reasons:
1. A fight probably broke out after the movie or
2. Someone was breaking down some breakdancing on the sidewalk (this, I happened to see, after I headed to my car).
I simply shook my head, and got the hell out of there. If you live near where I live, I don't recommend seeing a movie on a Friday night. People are crazy.
