Harry Potter called, he wants his caps-lock key of angst back. Dude, no need to yell.

Try to be more specific, where exactly did you place your building, and did you make an interior for it?

Change your attitude and run your posts through a word processor and maybe I can take you seriously enough to talk to you. Maybe you have some sort of corrupt data that is causing it to disappear and reappear?

Re: HELP ON BUILDING IN TOWN

Lets show a little more respect in the posting.

This is a common problem with RPG Maker 2 and I'm surprised no one offered an explanation instead of questioning chigoo's ability. Of course yelling (using all caps) and bad grammar in the post didn't help.

The problem is that RPG Maker 2 can only display a limited number of blocks in an area. This is the same limit as the building editor, so if you use all the bocks in the building editor, you can only place the building once and all the available spaces will be used. The smaller the buildings are, the more you can place on a map. That's why most of the default buildings only use a few blocks.

A dungeon can use twice the number of blocks as a map because there are dungeon blocks and building blocks.

The solution is to use the fewest number of blocks in a building as you can. If you want a large building, consider enlarging a small building or building only the front and place it somewhere the party can't walk around. You can use hills and holes as well as objects (which also have a limit) to do this.

If you want a large city, cut it into sections and use warps to move around. If you look at any RPG game, you'll notice that large cities are always cut into sections along with environmental details to make the city seem bigger then it really is.

The Crown of Order demo is here.

Hey, I was not rude in any manner, I was only trying to get more information on the situation so that people who know RPGM2 better then I did could probably help us. I only respond rudely in posts only after hostile responses.
