Some RPG Maker 2 simple questions

Here are some questions before I consider getting it:

1.Can you use events like in the other RPG Maker games?
2.Can you draw your own textures using a palette for your character's face and for ground and walls?
3.Is this game extremely rare?
4.Is there any way to make 2P games on there using two controllers (example, have 2 characters walking on the same screen)?
5.Can you completely customize the terrain and buildings?
6.How much character customization is there?

I guess I should add that you can make non-conventional characters completely in the Visual Effects Editor!

I made playable weapons, a playable Cow, a playable Keester Bunny, a playable Starship Enterprise, and even Daleks which could be playable, but were enemies instead.

You can also use VFX to modify chatacter's appearance, but not easily.

The rest of your questions were answered quite completely above!

By the way I have RM2 and a strategy guide for it Im thinking of giving away, trying to think of a contest idea but cant think of any
