Police State on RPGM1: What to do with all that data?

I still have the memory cards, but one of the scenario cards from the middle of the game has long since been corrupted. It doesn't look salvagable, but I will back all the other cards up and leave this untampered with. Perhaps I might be able to reclaim the data from it without deleting it during the repair process.

I may actually make another game out of the data that's usable, as I feel bad at letting all that original custom art go to waste. But it won't be Police State, perhaps entirely unrelated to it. And between that electric car, looking for work, a few renewable energy projects, and the actual PC version of Police State(which is agonizingly slowly coming along), I won't be spending anymore than 100 hours or so on it. Once college came and my desire to quit supporting certain dictators through oil consumption, RPGM became the least of my priorities. But I have my degree now.

Given what I know of RPGM and the maps from that game being finished years ago, that 100 hours is about all I need.

Perhaps a game needing about 8-10 hours playtime to complete with another 15 in sidequests/new game +. Three scenario cards long perhaps. I could crank that out in two months working on it 30 minutes at a time if I like the concept enough.

Anyway, for those who had wondered what became of the RPGM version of Police State, here are the screenshots of what would have been and what was almost ready to be released(This is ancient, I made this version in early 2002 when I was 16 and revealed it in 2003):

The real Police State is going to be a lot better than that. So much more. Once I get off the grid and have $200k or so saved up after working 4-5 years and spending as little as possible, I'll be able to temporarily retire and sit around and do whatever the **** I want, and that means single-handedly develop my own professionally-made game. Of course, I will need voice actors and such to chip in by that point. I've read a bit on game development and will certainly read a lot more before it's all over.

This project is far from dead, even if it may be perhaps a decade before it ever surfaces(I'm trying to be realistic. I have a lot of more pressing issues at hand!). Once I'm ready to start getting voice actors and such, I will start showing models and code and stuff. I have lots of art, but that requires me a scanner to upload it. Just never got around to getting a new one and the one I have seems beyond repair.

Some of the Police State's content could get me lawsuits, or worse. I intend to take gaming to a new level of depravity, but if and only if the player wishes to commit such acts in the game. And it will offend many, many people.

As for the RPGM1 game that may rise out of the ashes of this old project, if I do anything with it, I will reveal it probably in the next week or so.

Definitely the best looking RM1 game. As far as creating your own unique presentation with the limited tools. No matter how long it takes I'll be excited when the real Police State is finally made. From everything you've told us over the years, it'll definitely be a one of a kind experience.

I'd love to be able to play this now, but I'm willing to wait until you can bring it all together. I love the screenshots and all of your custom art.
