Smile hello

long story short- I would have greatly benefited if I had found RPGmaker and this place as an early adolescent.

Just started playing with Tsukuru 2(SNES version, dunno if there's other Tsukuru 2s...) earlier this year here and there getting fixated on understanding and making a prompting locking mechanism as one of my first little projects and moved on to trying to learn the rest of the rpgmaker and incomplete translation. I never tried any of the other versions of rpgmaker yet, so I'm very excited about using my own sprite sheets, but I don't know when I'll start playing with those. Gotta say when I started to read some of the guides posted on the site I was like "finally people that also understand!". It's like we all speak in the same language with the rpgmaker.

And out of curiosity has anybody figured out how to make something close to if statements with Tsukuru2 or any other equivalent game? I want to make more complex events :-)

I recommend tinkering with rpg maker 1. If you'll be interested then I'll be your best friend.

Then why does it say that you use RPG Maker 2 on you're profile? RPG Maker 2 is the English translated version of RPG Tsukuru 5 (they both came out on PS2).

I wasn't aware that the English and Japanese versions were completely different by name and number. So.. Tsukuru 2 is not the same as the English Rpgmaker 2 counterpart? I meant to say Tsukuru 2 which was translated by magecraft back in the day.
