I've watched all of the anime episodes on Naruto(and Shippuden), Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, Claymore, Full Metal Alchemist, Tales of Symphonia(only like 7 episodes in the series) and Death Note. I think that's all...
I have started watching Hunter X Hunter, One Piece, Gundam, Full Metal Panic, Inuyasha, Gungrave, Cowboy Bebop, Eyeshield 21, Dragonaut, Avatar, and Ghost Hount. I'm sure there's more I can't remember... I started watching these but I didn't like them much... I might go back and watch some later.
I've been watching Ghost Hound lately, I'm around 10 episodes in...
I have read all the Naruto Manga, but that's all for Manga.
My top favourites probably go in this order...
1. Bleach
2. Naruto
3. Full Metal Alchemist and Death Note...
I might like FMA and Death Note better if the series was longer...
Edit: All the anime I watch I try to watch in Japanese with Subtitles. I personally think the voices sound better(usually).
Oh my ****ing god, I hardly know you but I already dislike you.
BTW: The FMA TV series ran for 50 episodes and the manga isn't even over yet, so how can it be too ****ing short for you? Do you only like **** that gets stretched out to hundreds of identical episodes of tournament fighting?!
watch something that actually has an ending planned and isnt written to be able to go as long as it's popularity allows.
watch something that doesnt take several years to get through.
watch nothing that runs for longer than 52 episodes. if it goes beyond 52 episodes, it's goal is not to tell a story. it's being made to milk your wallet. most of the best anime series tend to clock in at 26-27 episodes.
watch only gundam series made prior to 2000, but avoiding the TV series made during the years of 1994 and 1995 at all costs. if you enjoyed Seed or are enjoying 00, you are dumpster.
the entire escaflowne series can be had for around $25. it is a masterpiece. it has an amazing soundtrack, great characters, a unique premise, a captivating story, and it's animated beautifully from beginning to end. and very few of the self-proclaimed anime fans these days know anything about it, or would dismiss it entirely because of the first episode. that is a ****ing tragedy.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
lol, Naruto was very boring because of the fillers and FMA didn't have that. Which was good,
But even though the Manga is still going, I have never read it and the anime series ended and they made a movie that tied the ending together.
What I meant about FMA and DN was it was a good series that I would have liked to see go on longer... Like Bleach, it goes on for a long time with a great story and only a couple fillers. And the fillers were pretty good (compared to Naruto). The main reason I think the 2 series' should have gone on longer was because they both seemed to end too soon in my opinion. That's just what I think...
The endings to FMA and DN were both good, but the DN ending was really predictable...
Oh and...
BTW: I already stated I watched all of the FMA series so I knew how long it was.
Edit:
bleach, naruto...
guh.
watch something good.

I think the Bleach storyline is good all the way through, but the Naruto one starts out good and but turns horrible later on... Either way though, if you don't pay attention to the storyline I still think the fights are pretty good.
Death Note is better as a Manga. The anime re-writes a huge chunk of the story.
and again, anything that can't wrap it's story up in 52 episodes isnt worth watching.
*glares at bleach, naruto, dragonball, one piece, everything made by rumiko takahashi*

you are a disaster.
Naruto was crap three seconds into the airing of it's first episode, and before the ink dried on the first panel of the first page of the first manga.
Bleach is just lame. I have fallen asleep every time I have attempted to watch the show.

Haha, I don't think it's worth wasting time argueing with opinions...
The main thing I hate about series that drag on is having to wait for 1 episode come out every week (or not even)... I just eventually get bored with the whole series. I might eventually look into the Death Note Manga, but I personally like anime better, but I hate how they change everything and add lots of fillers.
I just don't get why series like that are popular. why would someone want to commit half a decade (or TWELVE GODDAMN YEARS in the case of the inuyasha manga, jesus christ) to one series?
it has never made sense to me. Ranma 1/2 was the first series that I observed doing this. manga ran for nine years. and that was a comedy manga with no real point. there certainly wasnt a story that had to be told. it lasted until it stopped selling. and then takahashi did the same thing with inuyasha.
do you understand that bleach could possibly go on for another three or four years? it just hit year seven!
naruto will be nine in november!
and then one piece... ****ing one piece... just turned eleven.
someday when i finally lose my mind and live in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, i hope i have a nice warm fire and a complete berserk manga to keep me company.

WHY ARE PEOPLE OKAY WITH THAT.
I want to understand. really.
I only started watching anime around 2 years ago, I watched DBZ when I was younger though...
I think as long as the series is interesting to people it will be watched and I like Naruto and Bleach mostly because of the fighting. And as you said, It keeps going as long as it's popular...
I'm also pretty sure people who watch anime like Bleach, Naruto and One Piece don't really care how long it's been alive for... They jsut watch what interests them.
A pretty good question, Valk. Why continue watching shows that go on forever? Why the hell did I continue watching Dragon Ball Z, after the Frieza Saga, because it only got worse? Why didn't I give up on Inuyasha sooner? Why the **** am I still watching Bleach? Why am I wasting my time watching that silly mech anime Leluch or whatever it is called on Adult Swim? Jesus Christ, WHY? I don't know, please give me some time to cry over the time I have wasted on this crap. Ugh! I'm not being sarcastic, btw.
Glad you found it that way. Cause I didn't and I wasn't happy. Not because I didn't expect it, but because I thought it would go down a little differently. In a way that frustrated me less.
