Hey, if there's someone here who has VX or is willing to buy it as opposed to XP, more power to them. I just don't see any tangible advantage VX might have over XP.
Probably the first thing we should figure out something as simple as is it serious or comical. As for comical, I've had this idea in my head for a while. Probably not a very good one, but what the hell. I call it Fetch: The Quest. A dog going through a journey to find the stick that his owner threw. An adventure using every over used RPG cliche/game mechanic and making fun of it. Like the "oh the bridge is out" and having a large sign pointing to what you need to get which is only feet away from the bridge. As I said, probably not a very good idea, but I can see us having a lot of fun with that.
I could see taking those ideas and implementing them in one of the character's quests. Could make him a JRPG Hero and have his quest be satirical of the genre and all of its stupid conventions and cliches. Can't make it a total chore to play through, though. Gotta cut out some of the unnecessary middle men and downtime.
How about the game takes place during the Victorian era, and the multiple scenarios could follow different visitors at a hotel during the same time frame. I'd like to have a super natural aspect to it.
