    Re: Sejon's Art Dump (SHIPPING)

I like the rounded one better because it reminds me less of Cell.

Maybe an amalgamation between the two? Your art is always so impressive to me. Keep up the good work.

I like the head to the right. Really takes away the angularity of the last complete mockups head, which seems to flow well with the rest of the design.

I thought it was obvious that the city actually becomes 3-dimensional and isn't merely a chalk drawing. That's pretty much the whole point of my picture.

ah, well then you might want to draw the city on a 3D plane insted of a 2D one.

I don't think you get it, Bio.

No, actually i get it just fine, but i think it has gone over your heads. I know it is a style thing and all but it does NOT look 3D like it is coming out of the ground. Now I wouldn't do this normally (drawing on your art sej) but this is a visual explanation of what I was saying. Sorry for the sloppy quick sketch.

see now it looks like the buildings have actually sprouted from the concrete.

I think it's just a style choice. He still wants it to look like a 2D drawing.

I purposely didn't give the buildings 3-dimensional form. They originally had form in the sketch version, but with the final I made them all 2-D (but perpendicular rather than parallel to the walkway) on purpose, to look like paper cutouts standing on end, so to speak, to continue with the theme that they're a drawing "sprouting from the ground".

I had no idea I even needed to explain this. All of my classmates got it from the get-go and said it was a nifty stylistic choice.

                          Jesus, kid, you can draw!

So is that gonna be on a real magazine cover?

It's a possibility that it will be an actual magazine cover. I believe they'll be selecting two different cover designs from people in my class and publishing both.

I just have to compete against 15 other students and see if I win. Bleeeh!

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what I got out of it. I also think it's a neat stylistic choice.
