Since the governments giving me my meager check tonight, I bought a DS lite. It's amazing; I can now play Resident Evil DS outside without worrying about the sun glaring up the entire screen!

Although RES completely destroyed my low expectations, I would rather see an original Resident Evil game instead of a "Capcom Classic Cre-make(tm)"

I cannot wait to make the DS Lite MINE. I love my current one, but I will not hesitate to trade it in for the glossy-folding-blinding machine. Hopefully there won't be a huge gap between the trade in value of an original DS versus the $130 price of the lite.

I will be getting the DS Lite as well. It will be my first DS, so getting it won't make me feel guilty.

speaking of blinding, i met some guy named ash (who claimed he worked for blizzard... go figure) at the airport last week... he lit the entire terminal with the thing.

And I believe Gamestop/EB Games takes 60-70 for the DS. You get a cool upgrade for the price of 2 new DS games or an Xbox 360 game.

So, I forget, what's the new battery life for the old DS brightness? 15, 20 hours? Not that it makes a difference for me, since most of my handheld gaming is spent at home, but I'm curious.

Same as the old DS, actually. At the brightest setting, it a very slight bit lower.
