Re: Answers to basic RPGM3 questions.

How about a major problem I have with the game, and a question to go with that?

I hate how it has to show you the place you move to. I want to know if anyone has figured out any way to hide where you moved until you want?

Has anyone tried adding enemy encounter effect as the first line of an auto event of a map and seeing if it does a good of hiding it, or does it just look wrong?

Umm...fade out should do it, Von. Just fade out before the warp, and fade in after. Worked in my old game (JK:TS), I think.

Yeah, new entry. Also, there were some solutions on the board I forgot to add...anyone have answers to questions that aren't answered here but will be when you post the question and answer?

          Hey Hitogoroshi,

What about mentioning how to speed up time and movement in playtest mode. What is it, R1 and R2, right? Oh, I don't have the game in front of me right now.

Also, you could mention the fact that when interacting with an event in playtest mode, pushing "select" will bring up the event code.

Maybe having a during playtest category with these tidbits and others.

I know most people know about these, but we keep have newbies visiting us (which is great), and who knows about the people who come here but never become members?

EDIT: The best entry in your list so far is the second one inserted on 9/12. and I'm not just saying that. I really laughed out loud when I read that one.

Re: Answers to basic RPGM3 questions.

Hey for the original post, it might be easier for people to find their question if the questions are in color or in a bigger font size. Just having italics makes it kind of hard for someone to come in and look for the answer to just one question. But that's just a suggestion.

Good work though, a topic like this is very helpful for beginners.

                    Welcome Shikka,
In the storyteller mode, just keep scrolling down. All 88 characters are available on one list. You just haven't scrolled down far enough.

How dou I change party members? (dou = do)

copy the day code to night or vice verca (verca=versa)

But they WON'T share event code (WON'T needs a capital apostrophe)

1.Also in the "How do I make an event only happen once" section you can just add a mode instead of messing with variables and have mode 2 empty, consumes a little more memory but less hassle

2.So, big blue blocks and ninja walks. What else makes playtesting different from normal testing? (The red circle with the "!" where an invisible event is is only viewable in playtest mode, from what Ive been told)

3.With all the time I spent on this I think its been seriously neglected

                            Capital...apostrophe?

                            1. Adeed both theories.
                            2. The ! is still there, the Big Blue Block is not.
                            3. Added it in the section of links at the bottom.

                            Thanks for the help!

Meh, I'm going off of basic puncuation, and I don't feel like inventing a capital apostrophe to make it prettier for forum-goers.
