Probably because the market is a lot bigger and has a lot less pirates for DS than PSP.

I'll probably buy this game when it comes out. I didn't really like FF III all that much, but I'm sure this will be much better.

I'm guessing because they were already remaking FF games on the GBA, so it would be only natural to continue the remakes on the successor.

The bonus dungeon in FFIVA was decent. Unfortunately, I hated the bonus dungeons in FFVA and FFVIA.

FFIV is sure to be a decent game at the least, and the best RPG on the DS at the most. Ouite frankly, I can't wait to play it.

I got a Broken Nintendo DS. And the obligatory $10 Square-Enix tax doesn't excite me either.

But if my DS weren't broken I'd be all over this.

Crisis Core was a prequel, starring Zack.

Advent Children was a movie, that acted as a sequel.

Dirge of Cerberus was a sequel starring Vincent.

Don't know about the mobile game Before Crisis, but I think it starred the Turks. Probably a sequel/prequel. Plus we didn't get this game.

Those other appearances(Ehrgeiz/Final Fantasy Tactics/Dissidia)? Cameos.

A remake is a product that has been created again, usually with better quality or more features. So, a FFVII remake would be the second coming of God.

BTW the trailer... anime character models, mediocre anime voice actors. I wanna play it though.

All Square cares about these days is the DS.

But really, they seem to make better games for the DS than on next-gen systems. But they haven't released anything for PS3, Wii, or 360 yet have they...?

Unless I had a brain annurism. No. They haven't. What's taking them so long?

Edit: Only one I can think of is Chocobo Dungeon for the Wii which is actually suppoused to be a pretty good 'rougelike' game. Probably better than Crisis Core, at least.
