Re: Let's Play (With Draygone) LPisode #100!

It "came out" about 1-2 months after RPG Maker 1 was released, so it was probably unfamiliarity with the software, him using default monster stats, etc, which is why the game was so terrible.

It wasn't a bad game per-se, it was just the balance was atrocious.

Re: Let's Play (With Draygone) LPisode #100!

That's probably the most difficult thing to do while making a game: balancing it. In Terra Incognita I'm making only boss battles level you up, that way, I can balance it easily and it'll prevent people who are underleveled from heading to parts of the Island they shouldn't go to and nab the best stuff in the game right away.

Just do what I did in Bob's Wacky Adventure and just set a level of 50 to my character, and have them never level up.

Let's Play "Spiritis" Ep6 - I Only Have Ice for You

Basically what the title says. We've got a filler dungeon in a snowy area to go through before we can get to the next temple.

You're the second person to point that out.

Let's Play "Spiritis" Ep7 - The Unavoidable(?) Conflict

As we prepare to enter the ice temple to collect the final talisman, Iris leaves the team. Strangely, it's almost as though she never joined us in the first place.

Details for the contest mentioned towards the end of the episode can be found here:

Unfortunately, he had a recording disaster worse than my own, so that particular LP may not be properly finished.

So, this is the last episode of this LP. And then we're moving to a game that's actually on the site.

              Let's Play "Spiritis" Ep8 - Natas Cixelsyd

We finish off the last subquests, obtaining our most powerful equipment, and proceed into the final area to kick Natas's butt. More than once. Because he's a "jerk" and deserves it.

Uh oh, looks like I'm the next one in the hot seat, huh? At the very least, I don't think there are too many typos...

I think I found one so far.

Let's Play "A Light in the Sky" Ep1 - From Dusk...

For the first time since LPisode #12, we tackle an RPG Maker 3 game that uses its battle system, battling our way into a world that has been put into perpetual darkness, save for the titular light in the sky.

Let's Play "A Light in the Sky" Ep2 - Sunrise Up, and Take Action!

Isn't it good enough that we got the sun back? Then again, if it was, this would be a very short game. Though, we could always burn some extra time in the arena.

ARG, THAT'S THE THIRD FREAKING COMPUTER THAT'S DIED ON ME! AND THIS ONE'S NOT EVEN A YEAR OLD!

No, seriously, it's royally skrewed. You know those first couple of screens where it momentarily pops up system info and where you can go into system setup if you hold the Delete button? Yeah, it locks up there.

Left for work last night, and had the new episode of "Light in the Sky" uploading to YouTube. Came home from work and found that it locked up somewhere during upload. I got a moment of mouse cursor movement, but otherwise it was completely unresponsive. Forced a reboot, it asked if I wanted to go into safe mode, I figured "eh, I've never had to before". It got as far as that rainbow Windows logo before locking up again. Forced a reboot, got the starup repair thingy, froze during startup repair. Forced another reboot, and you know where I am. If I'm lucky, I can get it to try loading startup repair again. However, at this point, I severely doubt that it has anything to do with startup.

I got this computer last September, so if I'm lucky, it's still under warranty. Also, if the hard drive isn't too damaged, I might be able to recover a few important files. Otherwise, I've lost three LPisodes in which I was co-opping a game with fellow Magonian Lantis, as well as all the special edits (such as text boxes and the opening sequence). Everything else, no big deal if I lose them. I had already uploaded the newest episode of "Light in the Sky" to Viddler, so I can just recover that when I'm back on track.

Needless to say, I won't be recording any new LPs for a while.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, I'm sitting on my grandparents' computer at the moment. They haven't woken up, yet. I can just imagine the reaction my grandpa will have once he hears that I've lost yet another computer.

OUCH. I wonder why you've had such awful luck with your computer(s). My last computer lasted me nine years (admittedly with the need for two complete reformats) and I only replaced it because most new games require multi-core systems. What brands have you used?

Even if your hard drive seems corrupted beyond repair (and it may be), sometimes PC repair places can save all or most of your data (and trasnfer it to your new computer) even if they can't save the drive itself. That cost me $100 when my hard drive became corrupted a few years ago and it was well worth it.

I hope your warranty covers what happened to your computer, and I'm looking forward to the return of Let's Plays.

Well, it seems to be working at the moment. Guess all it needed was to rest while I slept. Though that doesn't explain why it locked up and outright refused to boot up properly last night.

I'm going to wait and see if it acts up again. If things seem to be working fine, I'll post the new episode tomorrow.

Edit. Well, so much for that. >_<

RAM is cheap, no point spending over a thousand dollars for a Mac if all you need to do is replace the RAM.

Obviously. I wouldn't have likely gotten a Mac, anyway. Too expensive.
