Renevine Legacy is reborn as an RPGM1 project, and this one will be a Drizi legend to remember.
This game tells the story of Syriz Gaphelli, a young Huma growing up in Raphenia, a Dema-ruled country. He lived happily with his family until the fateful day soldiers of Rapehnia's king, Lord Feroc, stormed their house and took Syriz' parents away. He was sent to a nearby orphanage callled Hydrenburg, where he lived for several years beside numerous Dema.
One day, on an errand to Tenan, a nearby village, Syriz arrived to find the villa in shambles. A terrified woman claimed that Dema stormed the town and burned it down, taking her brother with them. Deciding to help the woman, Syriz and the girl (named Gini) find her brother Kailen is key to the evil scheme of Feroc's nephew, Beezlebub, to acquire eternal life and power.
Will Syriz and Gini save Kailen? What else has Beezlebub planned? For what reason were Syriz' parents taken? And most importantly, how does Syriz absorb the dark souls of his foes?
The answers, I assure you, is linked to the Gaphelli clan's history and a legacy written in blood.
-Characters-
Syriz Gaphelli is a young man who lives with the impression that he somehow is to blame for his parents' arrest. He lives at Hydrenburg Orphanarium, his only company being the mean-tempered Dema and their disdain of Huma. When he discovered Tenan's demise and met Gini, he couldn't believe how irrational the armies of Feroc could be. But it began to make sense to him that perhaps Kailen was linked to something bigger than a simple act of tyranny when he saw how fiercely the Dema protected him. He fights with a knife salvaged from the Orphanarium's kitchen, with minor practice in the use of a curved Raphenian sword called a Dragün. His role as a Rogue-class member allows him increased agility in battle.
Gini Frosbane is an aspiring Wikker, majoring in Cryos, a splinter-form of Aquos Wikka. She raised her adopted brother Kailen from a young age, when the Raphenian Revolution broke out and both her parents perished in the war-effort. She was devastated by the razing of her hometown, her brother's kidnapping adding further to her suffering. She possesses in-depth training with staffs and spears, and her Raphenian weapon-of-choice is the Kütakèn, a bronze staff ended in an eight-pointed star with which the enemy may be both hacked and impaled.
Kailen is a young boy teased by the other Tenan children for both being adopted and for his ability to see and supposedly devour evil spirits. He bears a peculiar mark on his back, an eight-pointed star - the symbol of chaos. His role in the evil plans of Beezlebub are still unknown, but it is most curious that both Kailen and Syriz can absorb the souls of the wicked. In the short time he knows Syriz, he sees a similar spirit between them - two homeless children who believe their parent's demise was all their fault. When in the party, Kailen fights with a slingshot that fires balls of lead. His Raphenian weapon-of-choice is Hereticus, a crossgun imbued with holy light.
Beezlebub Undergrove is a wicked soul if there ever was one. The nephew and only living relative of Lord Feroc, Beezlebub was raised in poverty under the cruel fist of his uncle. Filled with a passionate hatred of Feroc, Beezlebub tried on numerous occasions to claim the throne. His attempts were completely law-abiding, as royalty are allowed to kill the current lord to replace them, but he was far too weak to defeat the evil king; too weak, until his discovery of the Renevine legends. His interest in the subject of devouring souls to increase power grew from research to obsession, the symbol of chaos (mark of Lord Renevus) burnt to his skull to show his unhealthy passion. His research has led him to believe that a few descendant of the Renevine bloodline remain and he plans to, one way or another, steal their power. Only then can he slay Feroc and usher in a golden age for Raphenia - one of conquest and misery.
Lord Feroc Undergrove is a vile, cunning and unjust ruler. His time as king and the dark power affiliated with it has twisted him even beyond recognition as a Dema, his mutated flesh gnarling as more blood is spilled in his name. It is said that death makes a Raphenian king more powerful, and that is fact in the case of Feroc and his bloodlust. His hatred for Huma is stronger than the disdain he holds for his nephew Beezlebub, preaching of an ultimate cleansing in which all Huma will perish. He ordered the arrest of Vrega and Dajim Gaphelli to prevent a Renevus-descendant from falling into Beezlebub's hands, for even he knows how powerful it would make him; he did not, however, know of Vrega's son Syriz. His weapon is Armas, a claymore forged in the fires of the Undergrove and tempered in the blood of his brother Rapshir.
Grull Bendictus Undergrove is the son of Beezlebub, and nothing more than a semi-disabled Imp. Born blind and mute, Grull was raised in the darker caverns of the Undergrove by his ashamed father. He has since been taught sign-language and how to fight using only his hearing as his guide; his gifted hearing is nearly twice that of an Imp's already-strong hearing. His Wikka is unusually potent, often seen pulsing through his veins like bright yellow light. His father loves him with a nervous fear of Feroc finding him, but Grull knows that only two Dema can travel this deep into the Undergrove and return; one of them is his father. His hatred for Feroc is the same as Beezlebub, his inability to do anything about him further feeding his anger. His father guards the grotto Grull lives in carefully, thinking he'd have failed as a man if he could not fight off the soldiers of Feroc when they came for his son.
Lord Renevus Garrister is considered one of the greatest Drizi monarchs of all time. Son of King Noctus, Renevus contrasts his father 'the Good King' with his nickname, the Dark Eater. His title comes from his rumored ability to see Chaos, the souls of the wicked, and draw their dark power into his body to increase his own. His time as ruler showed he was just, valiant and considerate as his father; however, his role in history is obscured by war and bloodshed. In the highest point of the Renevine era, the Undergrove family - powerful Dema warriors and crimelords - declared a revolution against the "foul-hearted" (Huma) king. The war lasted for years, reaching its apex when Renevus was incapacitated by Baron Phobos Undergrove and executed before the entire kingdom of Raphenia, Phobos claiming a throne that would be handed down generations later to his great-grandson Feroc. It is said that Renevus had two sons, Svek and Boristin, who departed during the war to Arale and Ontega and fathered the Gaphelli and Arika clans.

They appear all-knowing and all-powerful in their most feral forms, as Verteline Drakes, but are more domestic in their Raphenian form as Mud Drakes, amphibious monsters that dwell in swamps. They drop Drake Scales, which are both very valuable and very durable. Drake-Mail is the strongest armor in most areas, only dwarfed in defense by Renevus' legendary armor Vanguard, formed from the dead husk of a Lüciferian Gölym.
Sauris: Massive, powerful and ever-hungry. Sauris are the living remnants of the Saurian Age, when gigantic reptiles ruled land, sea and sky before Huma arrived and hunted them to near-extinction. Their eggs are highly nutritious and can cure Poison.
Imps: Small but agile, Imps are expert spelunkers and dwell in the darkest caves. They fight with uncanny animosity, their sharp teeth claiming many lives throughout history. They drop Impstool, a fungus that boosts speed.
