I may hide it and only bring it back to the public view when people are in it.
Yeah, I think that sounds like a good idea, I think. Right now it just kind of dirties up the place. When people are in it... well, then there's a reason for it.
I may be missing something but what about a temporary or permanent IP ban? Does that not work anymore or...? I'm not trying to come off as a smartass I'm just curious as why we don't just do that, instead.
I'm sorry, I'm kind of with Wave on this. This didn't really serve too good of a purpose to begin with save for a few laughs from some people. I didn't think this was all that funny but my point is that a ban seemed to work just fine back in the day. Don't we still have a few Pavilionites that were temp-banned and later came back with a more tolerable attitude? I dunno, I'm just thinking out loud.
Why don't you guys just give some kind of "Trololo Warning" then give a "Trololo Ban" after that said "Trololo Warning" was ignored? (Stop laughing at me for just a second and listen).
Example (either in the thred or via Private Message, whatever):
That's it, Dallas. Consider this a Trolling Warning. Keep acting like a douche and it's a such-and-such ban.
That way you'd be giving them a chance to change their 'tude but still give some enforcement to some "non-trolling policy" without cluttering or using up space that none of us will use.
If it's a permanant ban it still wouldn't be so bad if used with discretion: It would be like dealing with a spreading infection, you know, just amputate the infected area and just move on. Know what I mean?
Anyways, these are just suggestions.
I'm not seriously suggesting that we call it that, mind you.
