        Re: Uhhh

you can use multiple system cards.

it's fairly easy. just use a point on a map as a transition point. tell the player to save the game, reset, and load system card 2 instead of system card 1.

people with the save can continue on as normal. people without it and who are trying to load system card 2 first are likely going to be met with a black screen, as you may not have the map the start point was at in the new system card.

on system card 2, you copy your system card 1 data. you can't change the name of it. you can delete dungeons and enemies that are no longer used. anything the player could have attached to their save (items, magic, skills) cannot be changed.

Wow I never knew that. So I can potentially make a game on RPGM1 with multiple system as well as scenario data's and make a pretty huge game if I wanted hmm.

Alright so I created two system cards but what about scenario? If I try starting the second system card I'll just be at the exact same start point that the first card had.

make sure your system card 2 is a copy of system card 1. where ever the transition point was in card 1 (the dungeon) has to stay for system card 2.

you can keep using the scenario data.

if someone is loading their progress, they'll pick up exactly where they were, but on a system card that has a lot more space after you remove the dungeons you won't be using anymore.

as for the start point, to keep players from starting on system card 2 first, go and change it. stick it in an empty map, put them in a wall, whatever. and have an event telling them to use system card 1.

and you can always do a scenario data switch too, if you're running out of room with that. that's actually built into RPGM1, luckily.

                Re: Uhhh

Everytime I do a system card switch, I'd probably need to do a scenario one as well because even if I delete the map on the second system data, in the scenario data all the events will still be there but on a now empty map. Only alternative is say if on system card 1 I use maps 1-100 on system card 2 I'd have to use maps 101-200 or something like that so I can use the same scenario data still.

You don't need to move or delete the maps you want to keep.

I'm guessing that if I edit an item in SYS 1, I'll have to do the exact same thing in SYS 2. Hmm...

                      Re: Uhhh

Yeah. The system card trick typically needs you to plan on using it from the start, so you can set things up accordingly. Otherwise you end up having to go back and forth editing both system datas.

                        Re: Uhhh

Well, I suppose I could add things in later system cards but as for changing something that was on a previous system card, that's a no can do unless you don't mind the player wondering why this healing item no longer exists or why this weapons atk wen't down from 50 to 34 etc.

Anything you change that was on one system card has to be changed on all system cards as well so I'd be very careful about it.
