Anyone play 2 player titles?

I know that a few games offer 2 player support, such as Checkers Plus. What I'm interested in is if you guys ever play these 2 player games. Do you have someone around to play with if you want to play a 2 player game?

I ask because I'd be interested in making a 2 player game, but I have no idea how many people actually have another person around willing to play with them, much less a rpgm title.

I've only played a 2 player game once, and that was for a contest several years ago. some RPG Maker 2 game.
