I'll be with my family for most of Food Day and on Food Day+ (aka SUPER Food Day). Any other time will be spent with someone else's family.

I'll be going down into California's armpit for a four-day stay with my family. They're all avoiding invites from extended relatives. Unfortunately my grandmother's going senile. While this makes the conversation interesting, for once... racist girl scout songs from the '30s put a damper on the mood. (Well, for some people.)

Also, I see these people so rarely it's sorta uncomfortable, like getting on an elevator with the same people every day. You recognize each other, but after a little small-talk, you're all just waiting for the ride to end so you can get on with your lives.
