I apologize that I have trouble staying focused on one thing (i.e. Fantasia Saga). I do plan to finish FS but I enjoy starting new projects more than sticking with them, so I have to turn my creative attention to something else for a little while.
Working Title: either "Tyrant" or "War of the Tyrants"
Medium = RPGM1
Premise: You are King Tyrannius, and have recently acended to the throne. Your mission is to create an empire and take over the world. However, there are other blood thirsty would be Emperors out there and you have to challenge them to reach your goal.
The entire game takes place in one town (your town). There are two sections to the main gameplay; the planning portion, and the battle portion. Each move that you make in the planning portion will set off a switch. When a certain number/combination of switches are set off, you will be attacked by another kingdom. You can also choose to initiate an attack on another kingom if you wish.
During the planning portion, you need to use the recourses that you have acquired to prepare for the next battle. You can recruit soldiers, choose your battle setup, order workers to gather recourses, give speeches, and do other mini-game activities.
The battle portion will take you to a battlefield, where you conduct battle (lol). The CBS is roughly based on Dragon Force. You will control a General and give orders to your troops. It's essentially a turn based tactical battle system with orders carried out in semi-real time.
This is still on the drawing boards to be sure. I don't know if I will be able to pull off the CBS that I have in mind, but I have an idea of how I want to execute it.
Any thoughts or comments?
