    Re: Republicans' political Hail Mary

Because electronic voting is touted as being quick and easy. Something you could do, say, on the way to the grocery store, because traditional voting is so tedious and boring. Yea, whatever.

The truth is that there is more Republican turnout.

        That's it.

Then it must be around even, since I've heard that exact same statement over and over but applied to democrats.

Besides, look around. Even on this site, the turnout of democrat is much greater than republican.

Democrats have a bigger voting block but a horrible turnout.

Yes, the people you know are an accurate demographic of the voting population of America.

Hey, I'm going to jump in with something all of you will find very "Out there".

I say we restart the human race.

Take a SMALL, select few individuals and then just nuke all the rest. 35 years later, we come out from our bomb shelters to find all the skyscrapers, the courthouses, the prisons, every horrible thing which has tainted our planet would all be gone much faster. All this bullcrap we call a civilization, will be gone. The remnants would live completely off the land. No more crazy politics, injustice, whatever. Organic foods, No need for guns and crap, every bad thing about the world we live in today, would be gone. Just like that.

                What do you think?

                  *rolls eyes*

It may not be an accurate representation of the voting population, but it is of the general population. At least for my area.

Perhaps democrats don't vote, they just complain.

And Chrome> It's an awesome idea, but wouldn't work. (Well, it would, but no one would want to do it.) :P

You can't have decent organic food if you nuke most of the world. It ruins the soil. Takes longer than 35 to diffuse.

That's exactly the problem with this world. Too many evil/stupid people are in all the power situations, and there's nothing the smart people can do about it.

Notice I said during the nuking process we would wait in bomb shelters for 35 years.
I mean, 35 years later the radiation will be gone.

Well there is always revolution, both bloody and not so bloody. Of course really if you don't vote regularly you can't really complain at the state of this country. Really instead of complaining you should be organizing rallies to get people behind your cause. There are things you can do but it does take a lot of work and organization to do these.

So if you want things to change start doing something about it.

Not saying I'm doing anything, just saying if you want things to change you have to start it by actively doing something. Voting is one way to do that, and encouraging others to think for themselves and vote, and not just listen to their party all the time.

Personally I'm not Democrat or Republican, I find myself to be Liberatarian. Seems to fit the best with what I believe in. Too bad too many people don't run on that ticket.

                            Are you mocking me?

                            Cause that's almost my opinion.
                            I am serious. Really.

Very inspiring. But it's kind of diffucult for someone in my position to do stuff like that. 1. I am but 15. You have to be 18 to vote. 2. I live in freakin oregon, where there's slightly more smarter people than usual. In order to do these kinds of things, I would have to: A. Rapidly age 3 years. B. Move to a place where my ideas would take root and people would pay attention to what I am saying. That's kind of impossible last I checked.

You're describing a meritocracy, but I don't understand why you feel the need to give it a Nazi twist. As insistent as you are, I can't imagine you're actually serious about breaking out the nukers.

Because massive, nuclear genocide would totally make people organize into peaceful Native American like communes ruled by uncorrupted intellectuals.
