The Kuromei Chronicle is the second game in the Chronicle Series. The game opens with a small introduction explaining how the main character, Skyal Kain, heard a voice just before going to bed the previous night, and then reveals that you are locked in a cell inside a hideout. Your first order of business: Escape. Upon returning to your hometown, you discover it is deserted and that a "shadowy figure" led the townspeople away last night. The rest of the game is about the pursuit of this "shadowy figure" and his connection with Skyal.
