Minecraft on 360...is anyone picking it up tomorrow?
Re: Minecraft on 360...is anyone picking it up tomorrow?
Pretty much all I did for the majority of today was play this.
Question, though...I'm tending to dig in at this point rather than build out. If I decide to make some walls/fortifications a bit away from the entrance to my main cavern (it's right next to a flowing waterfall and it's quite lovely...well, as lovely as masses of pixels can be, I guess), is there some way to tell before I start building if enemies might just spawn inside of it?
Meaning, I've got a nice secluded little alcove going on, with the waterfall and all. I'd like to erect some walls at the edge of the alcove (there are massively tall cliffs on both sides), but how do I know if the enemies will just spawn within the walls, making their erection pointless?
Re: Minecraft on 360...is anyone picking it up tomorrow?
Yeah...I know they only spawn in darkness. I died a bunch of times already, and restarted maps like 4 times. But this map was too good that I wanted to keep it.
So really, it's as simple as just placing torches everywhere inside the walls, eh?
Re: Minecraft on 360...is anyone picking it up tomorrow?
Frankly, until I downloaded it yesterday, I never quite understood the appeal, either. But even though I died quite a few times, and restarted maps quite a few times, I really didn't want to stop playing. Finished the download at about ~3:30 pm. Finally turned the 360 off to go to sleep at about 1 am.
I was reading some reviews, and someone mentioned something about survival horror in relation to it. Which I can actually see to some extent. Especially on that first night or two, before you usually make torches, you are in this pitch-black environment, and you can hear the monsters outside of the makeshift shelter you built, and there's nothing to do but wait and hope that you did not miss a spot where they can get in.
Plus, the creepers exploding NEVER failed to make me jump. And on top of that, a few times they exploded near a nice beginning entryway to the area I had been working on, and completely ruined my handiwork. This was one of the times I started over with a new map.
