    Mancow just got waterboarded

I feel bad for buying into a radio stunt but I had to hear this. The average waterboarding lasts 14 seconds and he lasted 7-8 seconds. He didn't think it would be a big deal but when he got out he said he felt like he's been beat up, his heart was pounding, and "I really don't want to say this, but this is absolutely torture, no question." Even better this all took place on conservative talk radio.

It's great how the banner ad above advertises both Hannity and Limbaugh, who both deny water-boarding as a means of torture, and illegal to US law and Geneva Conventions.

It's too bad though that Hannity reneged on his "water-boarding for charity."

If only other so-called 'proponents' had as much integrity as this guy.

Still, this is a clear blow to the pro-torture argument. There's no reason for anyone to be defending the people responsible for implementing these tactics.
      ...and that's why.

Yyyyyyyyup. He failed doing FM morning talk so now he's pushing his Libertarian views (although really not THAT Libertarian) on WLS before Rush.

the hannity waterboarding thing totally exposed him as the chest-beating turd sandwich he is.

Just goes to show you that the ideological circle he's in is a bunch of jaded morons.

However, I've got mounds of respect for anyone who would back up their "this isn't actually torture" argument by submitting to the torture themselves, and especially for anyone who can admit afterwards that they were utterly, utterly wrong.

Huh. Props to him for being able to articulate himself so well afterwards.

Now we just gotta waterboard our way to reform!

I don't get it, is the water just pouring into his nose potentially drowning him, or is it just a simulated feeling like you really were drowning?

I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

Goufunaki, basically when water is poured into your nose w/ your feet above your head (something to do w/ co2) and water is poured into your nose while blindfolded, basically your brain freaks out and says I'M DROWNING I'M GONNA DIE I'M DROWNING I'M GONNA DIE I'M DROWNING I'M GONNA DIE instantly. You can't just hold your breath, it's an automated response we found. Ain't life grand?

It can potentially drown you or cause brain damage, water intoxication, etc. (Wikipedia's got some good info on this) When done properly, it shouldn't generally do any of these things, it's more to evoke the panic reactions. Either way, I don't see how anyone can deny it's torture.
