Not long enough in my opinion. We still don't know why he has a sharingan like Itachi's without being an Uchiha.

He doesn't have a sharingan like Itachi. Kakashi only has the three dots, but Itachi has more like a three sided ninja star. Still, kakashi was able to get the third dot on his own somehow that hasn't been explained.

I read the manga as it's printed here, since part of the reason I love comics is the fact that I'm actually holding the artwork (or a copy of it) in my hands.

I'm weird like that.
