Also I'd play code veronica last, it's a solid game but it's definitely the longest of the series, I'd say probably 4x longer than 1-3.

Did you play RE4? Took me 20 hours to beat the normal story mode. That was twice as long as CV.

I remember getting really really bored with Code Veronica X. If I'm thinking of the right game, about the time I finally got to the mansion, it just seemed an interminable series of boring stuff and stupid villains.

Bite your tongue! The scenes between Alexia and Alfred (especially with that creepy poem) were touching and the whole ending with Claire and Steve brought a manly tear to my eye.

The game also provides backstory on Hunk. Why can't he be the main character in RE5??

He's too cool to be a main character. An appearance, maybe, unless he's suffering from Umbrella's collapse.

I gotta agree. They actually really tried with CV's plot. But in the process, mucked up everything, i.e. Super Wesker, and they had to do the REmake to fit in Lisa Trevor and all the other background Umbrella family information. Which RE4 subsequently jettisoned altogether.

And Steve's voice acting drastically improved as the game went on.

Oh, and the ant/dragonfly symbolism was kind of nuts.

The Ashfords torture the dragonfly with ants...
Alexia pretty much becomes a Queen Ant...
Claire uses a dragonfly key to defeat Alexia...

Doubt it was intentional on Capcom's part, but there it is.

I really want to play Code Veronica again. I had the DC version back when it was first released, but I might have to settle for the PS2 version now. I'm kind of afraid of how clunky it will feel after RE4, though. =/

Yeah....the game is a little cheap. You're pretty much REQUIRED to burn two full heals at that part.

So anyway I've been continuing on my RE kick.

Got nemesis started today on dreamcast, the coolest thing about it is you can play the mercenaries right from the start. They also give you 8 different costumes off the bat.

While I was waiting for that I beat the REmake in 2 and a half hours :3

I loved how RE3 on DC put your vitals on the VMU.
