My old phone's vibrate function would stop working occasionally... I usually just dropped it from a good height to get it working again.

Until I threw it in a parking structure. Then it stopped working completely.

If it is mechanical and it doesn't work, I will smack the bejesus out of it! Works everytime!

Why bother? They're like, $6 at EB games.

I'll usually end up tossing controllers out of fustration with a game. It'll freeze up, and then I'll have to toss it again to make it work.
In the beginning the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and is widely considered as a bad move.

Our TV back in my dorm this past year. My roommate had to smack it several times while we were watching Face/Off. A few weeks later, that stopped working, but I never used that TV afterwards, anyway.

I've never had trouble with GCN controllers.

every pair of ear buds i've ever had i've fixed by whipping them really hard against a solid surface.

i usually try to fix everything by hitting it and then i end up breaking it further.

not the ear buds though. it works with ear buds.

My old Rio Nitrus MP3 player. One day my Mom dropped it and it ceased to function, and I was so mad I threw it against the car floor until it decided to work again.

When that thing finally died (it was a piece of crappy junk), I gleefully smashed it with a hammer!

Yeah, it's the 64 controllers that really suck. Worst made analog stick ever as after a few years it gets loose, and will never stay calibrated.

As for hitting things, I don't do it that often, mainly because of the fact it usually causes more permanent damage than what you're trying to fix. I'm sure I have a few times in the past but can't remember any.

The Nintendo Entertainment System has caused me so much grief.

I blew in it so many times to get games to work on it--my lungs nearly collapsed. I smacked it so many times to get the system to work that I've nearly made a dent in the plastic with my bare hand.

Of course, what does it matter now? I don't even play it anymore--it's in the garage sharing itself with the daddy longlegs and silverfish.
