Minecraft on 360...is anyone picking it up tomorrow?

I for one probably will, as I'm not a member of the glorious Pee Cee gamer master race. Checked the reviews, and so far, almost all are complementary.


I know people who play this on PC probably think of this version as sacrilege, but meh.

You don't really need all that hard-core of a PC to play the PC version, also the PC version is a later edition of Minecraft ( about 2-3 patches ahead I believe). PC has a lot more features, plus mods, texture packs, and servers.

However the 360 version is 10 bucks cheaper as well.

They need to nerf creepers in the xbox version. I swear they explode just looking at you.

It is somewhat hard getting used to the old ways again. Bows are back to being machine guns, and no hunger bar.

I miss the eating animations.

They really need to get the lighting mod into this version.

I've seen people literally giving away computers that can run Minecraft.

Just seems kind of silly to me to want to play such a gimped (behind on updates, no user customization, etc.) version of the game, but I guess there's something to be said for the simplicity of console gaming.

Sounds like it'll be worth waiting a bit to see if Mojang is able to get it caught up with the PC version. The main reason why I'm contemplating the XBox version is to see if I can talk my friends, who are more into console gaming, into some multiplayer.

They will defintally update this up to the latest version in no time. There are some glitches I have seen when hitting enemies. So there is some time before this version gets up to date and glitched fixed.

A single core P4 1.6Ghz can run Minecraft, I have no idea why anyone would pick it up on the 360 considering a 10 year old computer can run it.

Console elitists would be my guess. I don't like using mouse/keyboard, but, I'm not so against it that I would buy this. (Not that I own a 360 anyways~) And besides, you could just hook your 360/PS3 controller up to your PC anyway, couldn't you?
