fun parts - making the game and then seeing what you've made come to life. Creating new Visual Effects from scratch!
hard parts - making the game (if you want to be very inventive)
coding - yes (absolutely necessary)
OK, seriously... It's exactly the same as all the other console RPG Makers.
Scripting is done from menus. USB Keyboards (or the usual in game ones) are for typing dialog and such.
That's the difference between the PC Makers and the console makers.
PC allows for scripting by hand. Consoles pick command lines from lists.
The hard part is figuring out your own level of skill and progressing slowly. The game is so powerful that one is tempted to try too much too fast and then they get overwhelmed, claim the game is too hard, and quit.
Like everything else in life, take it slowly and at a steady pace and you will be fine.
See my VFX Editor Guide for an idea of how it works. (Link in my signature)

Well said.
His soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead.
Once you understand everything, that is... Custom Camera Angles would probably be the hardest part. And once you get the hang of them, I doubt that they're too hard either...
Then again, I like Scripting (It's VFX that frustrate me...).
Final Exams are not a good time to attempt to get back into a site. ^_^;
Those videos helped me out when I started, now I can almost put in every script command and have something work perfect the first time. You start to learn how long a wait should be, or when to add sound effects. All you have to do is screw around.
my first game seriously tought me so much, and yet that game itself made no sense.
My first game had you walk around killing penguins, eskimos, and robots. ALL of which ended up dying via falling down some cliff. Absolute crap, but it helped me much later.
