The return of Final Fantasy 7-10 split

After thinking it over during the weekend, I hav decided to reinstate my game idea FF7-10 split. this time around, I'm not going to write the script in the attempt to make it a comedy game. It'll we a serius game, like final fantasies 7 and 10. i wnated to start over because I kept thinking how the plots from both games could mesh together into one epic 40-hour game. Though I might have to break the game into three parts to fit all the data on an RPGM game save.

Please don't hate me for this, but when I first read the post, I read the 7-10 split as pin positions in bowling. And then I thought - Who would do Final Fantasy Bowling?

Actually I read somewhere 7 and 10 were conected. It somewhat made sense too. It wasn't like a huge way, but the life stream and the far plain were kind of the same thing. In 10/2 the kid named shinra mentioned trying to use the energy of the farplain. kind of like what the shinra company does in 7. The ship in Dirge is very simaler to the one in 10/2 ect... I don't know if it's true or anything, but this reminded me of it.

That sounds like a cool idea though.


@Lausen: All the final fantasy games I've played have similarities strewn about for the fans. Take Cid for example. I'm not doubting you, but I don't see a direct connection between the two myself.

if you absolutely must make a game that is any final fantasy, please dont make it a serious one. let square worry about making 2849289258295 sequels to their games, you just concentrate on making a fun game for yourself.

only square can make a good ff game, and even that is dicy. just come up with your own ideas, rather then try to piggy back off someone elses game. every professional spin off game has come off as completely lackluster, just dont do it.

A friend of a friend liked the idea, but didn't like the stuff I was putting in the game. So I sold the "rights" to him. I won't be working on the game anymore.
