I'm going to hope I can trade in my old DS for a Lite. The old model really does wash out the colors.

Does the Lite have any new features? Something like alternate button configurations for GBA games? My hand gets cramped playing a GBA platformer with the A/B buttons. With 4-button pads, I'm used to using B/Y.

Basically what you get in a DS Lite is:

1. EXTREMELY bright screens. I mean, they're freaking bright. Makes every game look like a colorful masterpiece.

2. The buttons are soft like butter. The D-Pad feels like a touch analog stick.

3. Really "Lite". : ) It weighs not a whole lot less, but definitely noticeable.

4. It just looks ****ing awesome.

You forgot to mention the stylus. It's much bigger and slides into the side.

In spite of it's sexy look, it isn't fragile. It's just as sturdy as any handheld, as it met Nintendo's benchmarks.

It isn't all that smudgeable, either. At least with the white one.

When I first saw the title of this topic I thought we had another handheld malfunction to deal with. I was honestly expecting a "DS Lite unable to retain its liquid" article, but then I realized that the DS Lite is probably pretty dry inside.

...so no, not really "busted."

I've had Brain Training for a couple months and was never all that impressed by it...got up to high 20's in brain age and I really saw no better functionality in my everyday life, so I was partially dissappointed...even though I didn't know whether or not the "Brain Training" would have any real life effects.

Starfox DS, I don't know...I've always thought the entire series was a bit overrated. I think the most fun I had was with the first one. I'll always compare it to Panzer Dragoon, which was more fun to me.

Final Fantasy 3 and Children of Mana I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to. Are they rereleasing FF5 as well? I didn't enjoy too much of that when I replayed it last, but I'm willing to give it another shot. Rocket Slime looks kinda interesting, if a bit shallow. I've already beaten FF6 twice in my life and I don't have the time to do it again.

What's megaman ZX? There hasn't been a good Megaman game on Gameboy in ages, so I'm curious.

Phoenix Wright 2 has my interest because it's one of the few DS games that looks like it has at least half a story. Under the knife 2 for the same reasons (even if the story is painfully anime-ish. Decendant from the god of healing? wtf?).

So in conclusion, yeah, those are the few games I'm looking forward to. Hopefully they'll be here more soon then later. I don't know, for a lot of those games, I get the feeling I'll feel the same way when I beat Mario Superstar Saga 2 or New Mario...just disatisfied and wishing I hadn't bought the game in the first place.

I will say, though, that DS is great for multiplayer, and maybe if I had more Pavvies to play online, I'd change my tune...but I've had way more success w/ playing people I know w/ XBox Live for 360, and that's 3 out of 4 people I know on here. DS Wi-Fi is so ass backwards it hurts my brain. I think I'll just keep the current DS model and not upgrade until I have a good reason to.
