Well since its a western developer doing it, I'd bet that it will most likely have a better story, especially since its Bioware.

No doubt about that, but what the hell source material are they gonna use? Are they gonna go the "anthropomorphic characters in a mostly human world" angle from the Adventure games, the Archie comics angle, or the bare-bones "SAVE THE ANIMALS" angle?

Honestly, the SatAM angle could be really cool with some tweaking. I mean, think of all the espionage and infiltration Sonic and gang had to do in that cartoon. I'd be blown away if they come up with something entirely new.

Now that you mention it, that does sound like it'd make for some interesting gameplay.

Anyway, it doesn't look like Sonic Team is involved in this title at all. From what I gather, Sega specifically commissioned BioWare to develop the game themselves.

Every publication I've read has given it a lukewarm reception. And its cutscenes are intolerable.

I've been confused by the past five or so Sonic games. Now there are pink, silver, black, and robotic hedgehogs. I've heard that the latest game was actually worth playing but I'm not sure which one that is.

I guess it's Secret Rings. Hey maybe I'll buy it for the Wii and scoff at Kefka and his lunch.

It's the only recent splendid Sonic game since the stellar Sonic Rush for DS.
